Weighers, measurers, checkers, and samplers, recordkeeping
Category: Office and administrative support occupations
Weigh, measure, and check materials, supplies, and equipment for the purpose of keeping relevant records. Duties are primarily clerical by nature. Set up, operate, or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines or robots that weld, braze, solder, or heat treat metal products, components, or assemblies. Include workers who operate laser cutters or laser-beam machines.

Wellhead pumpers
Category: Transportation and material moving occupations
Operate power pumps and auxiliary equipment to produce flow of oil or gas from wells in oil field.

Wholesale and retail buyers, except farm products
Category: Business and financial operations occupations
Buy merchandise or commodities, other than farm products, for resale to consumers at the wholesale or retail level, including both durable and nondurable goods. Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield. Select, order, and authorize payment for merchandise according to contractual agreements. Use word processor/computer or typewriter to type letters, reports, forms, or other material from rough draft, corrected copy, or voice recording. May perform other clerical duties as assigned. Include composing data keyers. Writers and authors
Category: Arts, design, entertainment, sports, and media occupations
Originate and prepare written material, such as scripts, stories, advertisements, and other material. Exclude "Public Relations Specialists" (27-3031) and "Technical Writers" (27-3042).
